Our wedding day :)

Life has gotten so busy I havent been able to accomplish everything Ive wanted. So sorry we are going back in time but I really wanted to talk about the most wonderful day of my life :D

Keo and I were married August 2, 2011

I decided to do the traditional thing of sleeping apart the night before the wedding. I of course spent the night with my wife! I'll always remember that night- laying there with my best friend so excited I was going to marry my other best friend in the morning. I was wasnt nervous at all and super ready for what was to come. In the morning I was woken by selisha and starla saving my life! A spider was trying to attack :)  I then spent the morning with selisha getting ready for my day. you know... the important things like hair and makeup!

Showed up at the McLean house and was very excited to see everything being put together. Took a quick look around and it all looked good. I had my mother, family, and friends to thank for all of this. All I had to do was plan it and they carried it out :) Thank you everyone for your love and support. We appreciated it very much.
We had pictures before the ceremony so that we could look our best, not waste everyones time, and have it be a bit more personal. So i went upstairs to get dressed. Selisha was helpful when it came to both myself and KEO! Thank goodness for working at Mr formal  and knowing how everything goes:) Our first phot was the first look. This was super exciting for me because Keo hadnt seen my dress and it wasnt the typical wedding dress so i was really hoping he would like it.. if not i guess id be walking down in jeans! JK- I wont change for any man! Ill forever remember the look on his face when he saw me. he was shaking, cold hands, and couldnt stop smiling. It was worth the wait. we then had pictures done with the two of us, and then continued onto wedding party and family photos. What a super fun time. I love looking back on those and seeing everyone.
Then it was time to go upstairs and hide. We stood at the windows watching everyone show up. 5:30 came and we should have started the ceremony but i felt that maybe traffic was holding people up so i stalled it. dont worry everyone I wasnt having second thoughts, I just wanted to share my moment with you all.

Finally I decided it was time to start- I was tired of waiting! We go downstairs and the music plays. OH this is the moment Ive been waiting for my whole life. Every girl dreams of her wedding- however this is the part I forgot to dream about- I had no expectations which was nice. Walking down that isle with my daddy was wonderful. I of course cried, good tears of course. He gave me away to my future husband and i was trying all my tricks to stop me from blubbering- saying the abc's backwards, counting objects, etc. I wanted to be able to say "I do" without blowing snot everywhere.
Staying at my future husband I knew I had made the right choice, I chose my true love, it was worth the wait, worth the uncertainty, worth every single moment we spent growing together. I do want to mention- keo almost cried too :)
"You may kiss the bride"

The sand ceremony was presented by my father and keo and I should have really practiced pouring sand- somehow someone ended up with more at the top than the other.......lets try not to read too much into that!

we were now publicly MAN AND WIFE! strutted down the isle and took a moment to ourselves upstairs. After a few moments as man and wife we joined our guests. Spent the night enjoying wonderful food (we catered our own wedding), talking with family and friends, dancing, and just enjoying everything.

We decided to cut the cake and toast without inviting everyone. Sorry to everyone who wanted to see it. The room was a bit small, we were on a time schedule ( my choice- since we only had the photographer for so many hours) and it was nice having an intimate moment without everyone cheering to smash cake in each others faces.

people started to leave- which made me a little sad, I didnt want the night to end!
before everyone left we decided to get a photo of our "new" combined family, and also a fun photo of everyone who was still there.
Those photos are the best choice I made- I love looking at them and remembering all those who were there to show their love and support. This wedding wasnt just about us, It was about everyone who was there for us growing up, through our relationship, and those who we wish to spend time with in our future.
I do wish we could have invited EVERYONE but our budget just wouldnt allow it so please dont feel like you arent in the list above if you didnt recieve an invite.

As family was cleaning up Keo and I headed away in our getaway car (selishas car since mine had a booboo from our shopping trip for wedding food.)

We came home to enjoy some more time to ourselves and open up gifts before our early morning take off for Mexico.
After we opened everything I realized I left my ID with selisha! So needless to say we drove to her house to get it that night- had no choice! What a romantic way to spend our first night as husband and wife together :)
Oh the life as we know it!
