So after much debate Ive decided the dogs need life jackets! Ive made them go without them (yes i know im a bad mom!) because I didnt want to spend the money on them :)
Plus- dogs can swim right- They just have to doggy paddle!
Well the other day we were out on the river and Piper saw the geese- the geese were coming up to our boat to say hi. Piper told them a long story about how she loved being on the boat and spending time with us and they listened to it all and then she decided to jump in after them and run away to play! That girl makes friends quick-They were swimming together like a flock!
After the second time of calling her back she came but she swam a long ways between jumping and coming back. Honestly I dont know how long she would be able to swim... and what if there was a current... Id jump in and safe her ofcourse but thats not something I want to do if i dont have to!
This is the second time she jumped out- first was because she was chasing after the bobber on the rod!
Dexter HATES the water and Im sure would benefit from a jacket if he fell in.
So i think its time we get life jackets for them... now just to find a good price.
